Upcoming Events

The Farmers Market - Saturday 25th July 9am to 1pm

Your Willaston is happy to bring you another Farmers Market. As its summer we have added some extras to the event. A heritage bus service will run from Hooton Station to Willaston village. It will then wind its way through the village and loop around via the A540 back passing Hadlow Station before heading to Hooton Park Museum. A timetable is available below. Please note that you must ensure you are where you need to be by the time the last bus runs as we don't have any additional transport once the drivers finish.

Entertainment on the deck of the Nags will be provided by Bobby Hutchinson and playing modern and classic tunes and Katie Louise singing Soul, Motown, modern and classics

The pub will be open from 11 and are happy for you to enjoy food from the market outlets including a new Pizza Van until 12 when they will open the kitchens. Please kindly ensure that all waste is placed in the Your Willaston bins. Volunteers will be on site as usual to help.

We will again be in the car park of the Nags Head between 9am and 1pm. There will be the usual variety of stalls including Meat, Fish, Gluten Free, health based options and more. Its a must to visit the market and take in the vibrant atmosphere.

Here's a map to help find locations for the Market events. The mains market sites are marked with both postcodes and ///what.three.words references.

We encourage you to walk where able to help. If you get stuck there will be Your Willaston volunteers in HV's on the day to assist.

Your Bus Shelter Christmas display is here. Many thanks to Wirral Hospice Charity Shop  who donated Santa's boots.

It's Christmas Time in Willaston

Christmas is always here once the lights are on and Your Willaston will ensure that the tree lights are replaced for next year to make sure our wonderful Christmas Lights switch on event continues in style.

The Christmas Tree Display

Thank you to the wonderful Your Willaston (YW) community for providing this tree for the Church Christmas Tree Festival. We appreciate the assistance from Follyfields Nurseries too. YW was very pleased to be able to donate this tree from the community and hope that it fills a home in the community with Christmas cheers whilst also raising good funds for the church. Here's a few pictures but please go and see all the wonderful trees tonight and tomorrow night from 6:00pm.

  Christmas Tree Festival

Having been missing for a few years we are so happy that Christchurch will this year be hosting the  ChristmasTree Festival. It will be only available for tree viewings for a few hours each day 6pm to 8pm on the  9th and 10th of December so please go and see the trees buy one and take a fully decorated tree home for  Christmas.

More Pollards Updates

As promised by Star Pubs work has commenced on The Pollards Inn with a view to it returning to it's place in village life early next year.

Red Farming Tractor
Our first Farmers Market

Last weekend saw the first Farmers Market come to life. We saw over 400 people come to the village and enjoy both our market and the Country Markets offering. We also made a difference for our local businesses that received great custom and in the words of one of our local residents, 'I've never seen so many people in the village, its fantastic!' It generated a great vibe in the village. We will have more next year and hope to continue the positivity it created. Help us do this and join Your Willaston.

The bus shelter has been dressed for Remembrance Day on the 11th November.

Good News for all. The four walks guide post at the Memorial Hall has been replaced. Thanks to Paul and Paul from Willaston Farm who have reproduced the post from previous images to compliment the map below. They are seen here meticulously levelling the post. The map takes you on a variety of paths, through fields and along walkways in and around our wonderful village.

Community Notice

 Boards

We are pleased to confirm that Your Willaston CIC has now taken responsibility for the maintenance and management of the two Community Notice Boards in the village.

The two notice boards have long been a great village facility, keeping the residents up to date with various village events and groups activities. They also have the advantage of free advertising for local service providers.

If anyone should wish to place an advertisement, please email a copy of your proposed advertisement to
 yourwillaston@gmail.com

Subject to approval, arrangement will be made for you to drop off your advertisement to a representative from Your Willaston CIC.

Your advertisement should be presented on A5 size paper or card.

Anyone or group currently advertising in the notice boards, if you could please check your ad as many are looking a little faded and possible difficult to read. These may require refreshing. If so, if you could again email as above your request to refresh.

Finally, a big thank you to Hilary whom has long been the custodian of the Notice Boards
